Blood pressure levels in ROKAF pilots and air academy cadets

Abstract
Normal blood pressure levels. were measured in 4,699 consecutive ROKAF pilots and. air academy cadets during a period of 13 years from 1954 to 1966. Two years data of these, 1965 to 1966, were measured by the same examiner with. the same method.
The blood pressure .levels were analyzed and following results were obtained;
1. Both systolic and diastolic pressures tend to decrease progressively in relation to age increase in air academy cadets.
2. Blood pressures of pilots were slightly lower than those of normal -Koreans by 7-8 mm. Hg, in both systolic and distolic pressures.
3. The pulse pressure tends to-- be lower progressively in the old-aged pilots.
